TheWann formely known as the Airman in Iraq blog, since I am no longer in Iraq I decided to make this still for family and friends, with a wider stretch of thoughts for anyone else.

12:38 PM - iPods at war

An interesting article on the ways the military stays occupied while in Iraq. Just my short 2 cents on the subject in the article: Times have changed, drinking and doing whatever immoral yet fun things of previous generations just cannot be done in a hardcore religious state such as the Middle East. Unfortunatly the article makes it look like everyone over there has TVs, XBox's, PS2s and whatever electronic device is out there. This really isn't true to the vast majority and those that do have it a good portion of them recieved these items from the previous rotations. I had a mini fridge in my room that 5 guys shared and was bought 2 rotations before me. When you do have free time more people go to the rec tents, on base movie theater (usually a VCR/DVD player hooked up to a big TV) and hang.
