8:05 PM - Promotion Ceremony

Well last night was one of those great days where you nearly forgot you were in Iraq. The Wing Chaplain went from Maj to Lt. Col I helped pin him on, no blood though LOL. Some great speeches by the General. After the ceremony stuff, we all went to the reception area and had some cookies and gatorade (no beer LOL) We all gave the Wing Chap a killer shadowbox thing and went upstairs to the roof and everyone hung out smoking some Medal of Honor Cigars that his brother sent him from Geremany. The General had to leave early but great fun. We had to of stayed up there for close to 2 hours talking about whatever. Great weather, great night all around!!

Sounds fun.. but ummm. two things..

First.. what the heck is that blue and white thing around your waist?! LOL

And second.. How's that 'quitting smoking' thing going? :P

It must be a special Air Force belt that pulls in the gut after gaining weight after quitting the smoking, huh? I've got one and everybody comments about my girlish figure!

Oh, yeah, do those rose colored glasses help cover the bloodshot eyes so the Chaplain won't notice and ask embarrassing questions or do you have a different outlook on life now?

I have no clue what "rose colored glasses" you are talking about.

Your face looks like you got glasses. Glad to hear about the good times. I'm not sure, though if war is a period of time between peace or peace is a period of time between wars. Definitely good times comes amongst all of them, though. Mom says Hi and she loves you and to keep your living space neat and do what your told and be safe and be bored.

In the face of chaos there is always something good...you just have to know where to look for it, normally it is strictly attitude and you won't be able to not stumble on the good in any situation. love you too mom =)
